2-2-26    THOUGHTS

We want our minds set on heavenly things where our CITIZENSHIP is!  The “eagerness of waiting” is a prominent new testament theme.  Our expectation of a “TRANSFORMATION” is to be an ever-present excitement and motivation for us.  Verse 21 says it will be “into conformity with the  BODY OF HIS GLORY”!  Then it tells us that it will take the exertion of God’s power to accomplish this.  Other texts tell us the worlds we know will be destroyed at this time by that same awesome power.  What a God we have!

Php 3:17-21    Brethren, join in following my example, and observe those who walk according to the pattern you have in us. 18  For many walk, of whom I often told you, and now tell you even weeping, that they are enemies of the cross of Christ,  19  whose end is destruction, whose god is their appetite, and whose glory is in their shame,
who set their minds on earthly things.  20  For our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ;  21  who will transform the body of our humble state into conformity with the body of His glory, by the exertion of the power that He has even to subject all things to Himself.

Our Prayer:
We praise You and love You and honor Your glorious name.  May we, O Father God, walk in the ways of Your Spirit Words.  Help us to stretch with every fiber of our being, to draw nearer and nearer to You.  We would abide in Your presence.  We want a close relationship and communication with You continually.  Give us Your Spirit, O God.  May our Lord and Savior intercede for us.  Seal us as Yours!  In the name of Christ Jesus,   Amen.
